Washing machines and dryers take up so much valuable space, they usually have a whole laundry room devoted to them. If you just can't spare the square footage, this idea might be for you. Currently a prototype, the Alternative Clothes Cleaner is a washing machine that doubles as a chair. It uses pressurized water and ionized air so there's no need for a dryer/couch. Harsha Vardhan
