The Colorado couple fell in love with the place, and decided to return the house, which had been abandoned for decades, back to its former glory. Vic did all of the restoration work himself, restoring the original windows, hanging all the drywall, and patching up the busted out wood siding. Now the house serves as a family retreat for Vic, Cindy and their kids, as well as a gathering place for holidays and vacations. It is featured in our gallery Italianate: Before and After
