Fearing the home she lived in almost all her life would succumb to the Caterpillar, owner Ida Vance sold the house to the preservation nonprofit Knox Heritage, which agreed to move the house to an adjoining lot. After moving the house, replacing the roof, and stabilizing it, Knox sold the house to Jesse and Martha Andrus, who are doing a complete kitchen remodel, not to mention a lot of cosmetic work.
