Car-Nut Dad

So the PhantomPark may be out of most sons' and daughters' price range, but a Dad who loves his car (almost) as much as his family can dream. The device doubles parking space by placing two vehicles in the footprint of one stall. Here's how it works: Dad pulls his vintage Mustang onto the bottom deck, gets out, and lowers the deck into a pit constructed on the garage floor. Then he can park a second car on the top deck, which has been lowered flush with the garage floor. In addition to saving space, the system hides prized sportsters from would-be thieves and protects them from everyday scratches and dents. The two-deck drive-on lift requires less than a 10-foot garage ceiling for adequate clearance. About $55,000-60,000, ACLifts
