Re:Modern, a one woman-owned, San Francisco Bay area-based company that sells furniture, rugs, lighting, and other home accessories, donates a portion of its sales toward various arts, community, and environmental organizations, including the Nature Conservancy, the Rainforest Foundation, and Architecture for Humanity. It is also a participant in 1 Percent for the Planet, a program where retailers commit to donate at least one percent of their net profits toward earth-friendly causes.
Shown: Potholder Rugs made from reclaimed 100-percent wool sweaters, which are cleaned, softened, cut into strips, and then hand-woven on giant looms to make lofty 1-inch thick rugs.
