For a small, square yard the owners of this Seattle house did a good job creating an interesting space. It has a little bit (okay, a lot) of everything—a good mix of trees, shrubs and evergreens, plus a stone wall that separates the courtyard from the rest of the garden. A cedar arbor at the entrance to the courtyard gives it a welcoming finish.
