My favorite lawn is...one that you just spray on. Cheaper than sod, faster and more even than sowing by hand, hydroseeding is what happens when you mix seed, fertilizer, water, and wood pulp together and blast it from a hose. It looks kind of like green oatmeal (the color is so you know where you've sprayed), but within a couple of weeks—grass! Best of all, you can spray on a border of wildflowers or meadow grasses. Sort of like waving a magic wand.
