From Crafted to Last
, June 2006
The stools that sit in the foreground are justifiably front and center—their beautifully arched backs sit above wide round seats with about a foot of padding. They're pulled up to an island big enough to spread a broadsheet paper next to breakfast. The windows above the sink reach most of the way to the 12-foot ceilings, letting in plenty of morning light. And the cedar-wrapped beams on the ceiling are the beautiful details so rarely seen in new rooms. I head right for the kitchen when I wake up (in case you couldn't tell), and if I had this one, I'd be setting my alarm a little earlier.
