How to Anchor a Towel Bar

Use a hammer and chisel to chop out the waste wood from the studs. Check to be sure that each notch is 3/4-inches-deep.

Steps

• Introduction
• 1. Cut through drywall to expose studs
• 2. Notch exposed studs
• 3. Remove waste wood
• 4. Add support for backing (if working close to a corner)
• 5. Fit backing into notches
• 6. Replace and patch drywall
• 7. Apply joint compound
• 8. Install the bars
