Roll on the base coat, and allow it to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use a chalk line to mark off a diagonal line. If the floor is a perfect square, snap the chalk line from two opposite corners. If it is not, measure a square within the space, and snap a line between the opposing corners.
