Screw the corner foot plates to the base of the cabinet about 1½ inches in from each corner. Screw the bun feet into the plates.

    1. 1¼-inch brad nails to secure the top and bottom to the bookcase, and to trim the cabinet. If necessary, they will also be used to attach the header.

    5. H-hinges. Get four.

    6. Knobs. Get two.

    7. Primer-sealer. Get one quart.

    8. Paint. Get one quart in a satin or semigloss finish.
