Hold a stone so that the waste side hangs over the edge of your work surface. Strike the waste side with a brick hammer to create a natural-looking split. Repeat for all corner pieces.
Tip: When removing excess material from a corner piece, line it up so that the score line is roughly even with the edge of your work surface, and hold it firmly against the surface to prevent the entire stone from breaking.
