Clamp a bookcase unit to a wall cabinet and join the two with a pair of 2½-inch screws driven through the face frames. Spread out a blanket or moving pad and lay the assembled unit on its side.

    5. 2 x 4s, used to build platform

    6. 2 ½- and 3-inch drywall screws, for joining together cabinets and assembling platform

    7. Wood shims, used to level platform and plumb cabinets

    8. 3/4 x 1-inch wood strips, to provide nailing support for crown molding
