Step 2: Make cutout lines

Place a level on the reference mark and draw a horizontal line to represent the bottom of the cutout; be sure the line extends between two studs. Draw the vertical lines alongside the edge of each stud, then mark the top line. Note that the top corners of the cutout slope down at a 45-degree angle.
