Fencing, patios, and plantings gave the Concord Cottage privacy while connecting it to the main house.

The full landscape plan shows the relationship between the main house and the cottage and how their respective landscape elements mesh. Each has a private brick-and-bluestone patio, but the two are connected by bluestone paths and a trellis fence.

The cottage as seen from the main house's back porch. The grape vine thrives on the trellis fence. Plantings and an orchard of flowering trees demarcate the cottage property from the main house's. A cobblestone border around the parking area and rustic granite hitching posts recall the barn's horse days.
