A wise man once said there's a tool for every job, by which he meant tools like adjustable pliers for jobs like fixing a leaky sink. But as any parent will tell you, there are other kinds of leaks, too, and those require a very different set of tools. Which is why child-care product maker Graco designed the Daddy Diaper Bag,
a baby-friendly version of a tool satchel—the one made by sister company Irwin—that stows all the gear necessary to clean up Junior's plumbing problem. "We took the Irwin design and changed the tool pockets on the inside to hold a bottle and Binkys," says Graco product manager Kerry Strzelecki. It also has a wipes case, changing pad, and resealable plastic pouch for stowing dirty bibs. Six exterior pockets provide a ready handle on rattles and Cheerios. We think it pretty much beats those squishy jobs printed with the powder-blue teddy bear motif. Plus, as soon as the kid is properly potty-trained, you've got a handyman's hand-me-down, able to hold a couple of wrenches, a 16-ounce hammer, nails or screws, and, in the old bottle holder, a can of WD-40.
